Now, let’s add some links, an image, and a file.

1.  Select your page and click the Edit tab.

2.  Let’s add an external (non-Blink) link:

  1. Scroll down to the Body area and highlight Douglas G. Myers:
  2. Click the Insert/Edit Link icon:

  1. Click the External radio button:


  1. Enter mailto: in the Link box:


e. Click Insert.


3. Let’s add an internal link to another Blink page:

a.  Highlight The Safari Park.

b.  Click the Insert/Edit Link icon.

c.  Click the link icon to bring up the internal link chooser:

d.  Click Browse… to bring up another “file tree” window:

e.  Scroll down to the facilities/services/index page and click Confirm.

f.  Click Insert.

4.  Now, let’s add a Department Contact link.

  1. Scroll down to Related Content > Department Contacts.
  2. Click the block icon:

  1. Browse to the _contacts folder and choose the contact for your department:

5.  Scroll down to Related Content > See Also Links and add either an external or internal link:

  1. Click Submit to save your changes.

6.  Now, let’s add an image:

  1. Go to Google images.
  2. Search for a picture of your favorite animal.
  3. Download it to your desktop.
  4. Go back to your CMS page and go to the intro section.
  5. Click the orange icon to bring up the image chooser:

  1. Scroll to the _images/draft folder:

g.  Click the Upload button in the blue ribbon.

h.  Click the Choose File button.

i.  Find the photo on your desktop.

j.  Click the Upload button.

k.  Click Confirm.

  1. Scroll down and click Submit to save the page.

7.  If the image is too large:

  1. Navigate to the image file.
  2. Click Edit:

  1. Put in a smaller number in the W OR H box.
  2. Click the checkmark to apply the resize.
  3. Click Submit.

8.  Let’s upload and add a link to a downloadable file:

  1. Locate a file in Blink or from Google and download it to your desktop.
  2. Go back to your draft page and click Edit.
  3. Highlight any text.
  4. Click the Insert/Edit Link icon.
  5. Click the link icon to bring up the internal link chooser.
  6. Click Browse… to bring up another “file tree” window.
  7. Scroll to the _files/draft folder:

h.  Click the Upload button in the blue ribbon.

i.  Click the Choose File button.

j.  Find the file on your desktop.

k.  Click the Upload button.

l.  Click Confirm.

  1. Add the file extension, e.g. (PDF) after the link text.
  2. Scroll down and click Submit.
