Notices along the top are the options: CHALLENGES, IDEAS, VOICES, CONNECTIONS, ACTIONS & LOGIN.

CHALLENGES takes you to the list of challenges that you already selected from. Citizens are allowed and encouraged to contribute their ideas.

IDEAS is an indexed list of citizens’ ideas for solving these challenges color coded by topic.

VOICES provides video stories from around NC about a variety of topics related to the issues. Can also be used for supporting evidence.

CONNECTIONS takes you to data sets and statistics to help support and generate ideas. A great place for students to find “evidence.” Each Challenge has certain connections already linked to help users in their search for information.

ACTIONS are ways citizens can be involved in what is already being done to solve some of the issues.

LOGIN provides a way that you can set up an account and connect with other citizens…an online community.

6. Reflect on how this space/resource could be used instructionally either as a field trip or virtually using the website.

7. One of the goals of the IEI is to engage NC citizens in solving problems. What academic and life skills could this resource help students to learn?
