NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SWANSEA

PUBLIC PATH CREATION ORDER 2014

PUBLIC FOOTPATHS LH 71, 66, 65 & 64, NEAR CILONNEN

COMMUNITIES OF LLANRHIDIAN HIGHER AND THREE CROSSES

The above order made on 27th November 2014 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 will create:

a) an extension of footpath LH 71 depicted as commencing on the vehicular track leading to Cilonnen-fach Farm at Grid Reference. SS 5524 9372 and proceeding to continue along the vehicular track in a predominantly south south westerly direction for 252 metres or thereabouts to terminate on the highway at Grid Reference SS 5518 9348.

b) that length of footpath LH 66 commencing where the vehicle track to Hendy Farm meets the highway (Grid Ref. 5564 9347) and proceeds along the track for approximately 80 metres before continuing in a north north westerly direction for 540 metres or thereabouts, following the field boundaries, through the fields and wooded area to the stream near Cwm-nant-uchaf, continuing in an east south easterly direction for approximately 61 metres before proceeding for approximately 74 metres, crossing the stream to terminate at Grid Reference SS 5556 9411.

c) that length of footpath LH 64 commencing where the vehicle track to Forgemill Farm meets the highway (Grid Ref. SS 5578 9355) and proceeding along said track for approximately 54 metres in a north north westerly direction before proceeding in a north easterly direction to re-join LH 64 at Grid Reference SS 5578 9366, east of Forgemill Farm.

d) that length of footpath LH 64, commencing at Grid Reference SS 5574 9404 and proceeding in north north easterly direction for approximately 33 metres to the kissing gate, thence curving in a predominantly westerly direction for 52 metres or thereabouts, across the two existing sleeper bridges and continuing in a north easterly direction for approximately 19 metres to re-join the existing footpath at Grid Reference SS 5571 9410.

e) that length of footpath LH 65, commencing where the footpath leaves the track to Cmw-nant-uchaf, at Grid Reference SS 5551 9413 and proceeding in a predominantly easterly direction for approximately 210 metres to terminate on footpath LH 64, north of the stream, at Grid Reference SS 5571 9410.

f) that length of footpath LH 65, commencing where the tracks to Bryn-hir Farm and Penygraig Farm meet (Grid Ref. SS 5541 9450) and proceeding to follow the track in a north easterly direction for 46 metres or thereabouts to re-join the existing footpath at Grid Reference SS 5544 9454.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Council of the City and County of Swansea, Civic Centre, Swansea between 8.30 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Mondays to Thursdays and between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Fridays. Copies of the order and maps may be bought there at the price of £1.00 (quote ref. GH/ROW-249).

Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Head of Legal, Democratic Services and Procurement, Civic Centre, Swansea, no later than 17th February 2015 and should state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the Council of the City and County of Swansea may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Welsh Ministers for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
