NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
GOVERNING BODY OF MILES
A regular meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Miles will be held on October 2, 2017,
beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall at 110 Robinson Street, Miles, Texas.
The council will convene as posted to consider and take formal action, if necessary, on the subjects listed below. Items do not have to be taken in the same order as shown on this meeting notice.
1. Call to order
2. Public Comment (At this time, comments will be taken from the audience on any subject matter that is not on the agenda. In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, Council may not discuss or take action on any item which has not been posted on the agenda)
3. Discussion/action on Cobble Stone Christmas regarding electricity for decorations
4. Discussion/action of Boykin 3rd addition and Border subdivision with representatives from the Runnels County Appraisal District
5. Consent agenda: items are considered to be routine by the City Council, unless removed from the consent agenda they will be acted upon by one motion.

7. 2016-2017 Budget amendments
8. Appoint Amy Fischer as Financial investment officer, Treasurer & Chief Financial officer for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
9. Consider hiring Web CPA as auditor for the 2017-2018 fiscal year
10. Renewal of the Dispatch services agreement with Runnels County for 2017-2018
11. Renewal of the Firefighting contract and agreement with Runnels County
12. Discussion/action on placement of a historical marker in the City of Miles
13. Discussion/action on sidewalk replacement bids
14. Discussion/action on Cauley Lane land maintenance
15. Cast votes on the official ballot for the Board of Directors for the Runnels County Appraisal District 2018-2019 term

THE COUNCIL RESERVES THE RIGHT TOCONVENE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO SECTION 551.074 FOR PERSONNEL OR ON ANY POSTED AGENDA ITEM PURSUANT TO SECTION 551.071(2) OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE TO SEEK LEGAL ADVICE CONCERNING SUCH SUBJECT
I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above Notice of Meeting of the governing body of the City of Miles is a true and correct copy and that it was posted at the City Hall and post office of Miles, Texas. These are places that are convenient and readily accessible to the general public at all times and said notices were posted on September 29, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. and remained so posted continuously for at least 72 hours proceeding the scheduled time of said meeting.
