Update on Comprehensive Employment Strategy
Following on from the National Disability Strategy Implementation Plan, the National Disability Authority (NDA) has been asked by Minister Kathleen Lynch to assist in the development of a ten-year comprehensive employment strategy for people with disabilities.
An outline strategic framework has been developed and sets out the vision, principles and strategic priorities for the Comprehensive Employment Strategy. Individuals and organisations were invited to make submissions as part of the process.
Ms. Wilkinson will give an update on the development of the plan to date.

New Directions and Personalisation
New Directions is the HSE's review and plan of services for adults with disabilities for 2012 to 2016.
The plan aims to deliver more individualised services and gives people the widest possible range of options when it comes to how they live their lives and where they spend their time.
Mr. Ebbitt will deliver an update on New Directions and the position of supported employment within this new framework
