ENDURANCE EARTHDOG

Any dog holding an ME title is eligible to enter both Master and Senior for a special entry fee. This consists of 2 tests in one day – SE & ME. Qualifying in both tests on the same day may count toward an Endurance Earthdog title. However, contact the AKC for information on earning the Endurance Earthdog title, which requires a separate application and fee sent directly to AKC.

MOVE UPS

Dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the request of owner, as a result of qualifying for an Earthdog title, provided the request is made in writing to the Test Secretary no later than closing time for the class the day of the event.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds will not be offered if the event is cancelled due to acts of nature including, but not limited to: fire, flood, rain, earthquake and wind and to any acts of disaster requiring an evacuation of the site by a public authority or park employees

CLASSIFICATON - Eligibility of Dogs

1.  Dogs six months of age or older, and registered with the American Kennel Club are eligible to participate in earth dog tests, as are spayed and neutered dogs and dogs with limited registration provided they are classified as an eligible breed.

2.  NOTE: Bitches in season shall not be eligible to enter the test. Entry fees paid for a bitch that comes into season shall not be refunded.

3.  Dogs that are blind or deaf shall not be eligible. Blind means without useful vision and deaf means without useful hearing.

Non-Regular Class - (no Credit toward Title): Introduction to Quarry: Open to all eligible dogs.

Regular Classes:

Junior Earthdog: Open only to eligible dogs.

Senior Earthdog: Open only to dogs that have acquired the Junior or Master Earthdog Titles.

Master Earthdog: Open only to dogs that have acquired the Senior or Master Earthdog Titles.

Endurance Earthdog: Any dog holding an ME title prior to the closing of ME for that test is eligible to enter. This consists of entering and passing the 2 classes in one test--SE and ME.

RUNNING ORDER

All dogs, including pre-entries, must check in with the Test Secretary prior to closing time for their class.

Running order will be established as entries are received (except for Master).

Pre-entries will run before Day of Show entries.

The Gate Steward will post running order.

Dogs entered in Master must be present at closing time for the drawing or braces.

It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to know their running order and be at the entry gate on time. Judges will not wait for late entries. Any entry that is late will be moved to the end of the running order (other than Master).

Intro to Quarry and Junior may be delayed till the finish of ME running, depending on circumstances.

For Exhibition Only dogs will run last in any class.

Single copies of the latest editions of the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows/Registration and Discipline” and “Regulations for Earthdog Tests” may be obtained without charge from any Superintendent at shows where they are superintending or from The American Kennel Club, 5580 Centerview Drive, Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27606-3390.

AGREEMENT

I(we) acknowledge that the “Rules Applying to Dog Shows/Registration and Discipline” and if this entry is for an Earthdog Test, the “Regulations for Earthdog Tests” have been made available to me(us) and that I am (we are) familiar with their contents. I(we) agree that the club holding this show or earthdog test has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of this entry and the holding of the show or earthdog test and of the opportunity to the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons or trophies, I(we) agree to hold this club, its members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and Canyon RV Park and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless for any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the show or earthdog test premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto. And I(we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless for any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes.

I(we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show or earthdog test, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other person.

I (we) agree that any cause of action, controversy or claim arising out of or related to the entry, exhibition or attendance at the event between the AKC and myself (ourselves) or as to the construction, interpretation and effect of this agreement shall be settled by arbitration pursuant to the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. However, prior to arbitration all applicable AKC bylaws, rules, regulations and procedures must first be followed as set forth in the AKC charter and bylaws, rules, regulations, published policies and guidelines.
