3. HEADQUARTERS

· The headquarters for the North West Junior Squash Open will be SANDF Squash Club.

4. REGISTRATION DETAILS AND PLAYING VENUES

4.1. Registration and arrival:

· All players participating in the tournament are expected to arrive and

· Players playing on Friday, 16 February can register from 16:00.

· Rest of the players register, on Saturday from 07:30.

· Make sure that you announce yourself before each game, for good order.

4.2. Venues:

· Please note: All draws are to be checked for final venues and times at registration.

5. MEALS AND FACILITIES AT THE COURTS

· At all the Venues there will be facilities where you can buy food and something to drink.

Wimpy will be your host at SANDF Squash Club and Green Meadows Squash Facilities. At PCC you can make use of the Golf club facilities.

6. CONDITION OF ENTRY AND RULES

6.1. Closing dates and entries:

· SUNDAY, 11th February 2018 at MIDNIGHT. No late entries will or can be accepted.

· Entries must be sent to or faxed to 056819 8326.

· A confirmation sms will be sent to your provided number. If you DO NOT RECEIVE a confirmation sms, we did not receive your entry.

· Squash SA registration is required.

6.2. Age groups (Year in brackets):

· U/9 (2009 and younger – Free entry!!!);

· U/11 (2007 & later);

· U/13 (2005/06);

· U/14 (2004);

· U/16 (2002/03);

· U/19 (1999/2000/01).

· Age groups may be combined based on insufficient number of entries.

6.3. Tournament Balls and par scores:

· The Dunlop Pro XX (Double Dot) will be the official match squash ball for U/ 9 to 13. They will play PAR to 15.

· The Dunlop High Altitude Ball will be the official match squash ball for Under 14 to19.

They will play PAR to11.

6.4. Conduct and behaviour:

· Players enter and play in the North West Junior Squash Open 2018 at their own risk.

· The organizers of the North West Junior Squash Open will not accept responsibility for any injury arising from participating in the tournament.

· Players will abide by SA Schools and Squash SA rules and Code of Conduct. In all cases the Tournament Referee’s decision will be final.

· Players are required to MARK and REFEREE matches (winner referees; loser marks) following their match or risk disqualification and/or disciplinary steps.

· The 5 minute warm up and 90 second game break rule will be strictly monitored.

· No parents/spectators are allowed to interfere with any marking or play.

· Instances of misconduct and bad behaviour will be severely sanctioned by North West Squash.

· Use of PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR in every match is COMPULSORY – including during warm up or social games. (No exceptions shall be made)

6.5. Media:

· Players, parents or coaches are welcome to record games for future references and coaching purposes. North West Squash recognizes this as an essential part of coaching, developing and improving of junior players. Even though it is an International trend, we would like to urge all involved to take your opponent into consideration in this regard.

· Please note that photos will be taken by North West Squash at the tournament and it may be posted onto social media. Please advise the Tournament Organisers in writing (e-mail) if we are not allowed to use your child’s photos.

7.2. Restringing and Squash Equipment:

· Grips, Strings, shoes, clothing and a limited supply of rackets will be available at very competitive prices at SANDF Squash Club.

· A Re-stringing service will also be available at the stall at SANDF Squash Club.
