X. Writing Component: The study of Art in the studio does not involve the written word. The study of Art through D.B.A.E innately requires some writing to express the
students knowledge in Art History, Art Appreciation, and, to a degree, Art Critiquing. Each student will participate in these exercises. We will use MLA guidelines and incorporate writing across the curriculum techniques.
XI. Multi-Cultural Component: The study of Art is innately a Mulit-Cultural journey. Art history and appreciation cannot be approached without the student being exposed to and learning about the various Artists and their Cultures.
