NM Southwest Officials Basketball Camp

In conjunction with Onate High School Boys Basketball Team Camp

Location: Onate High School, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Dates:Friday June 10th and Saturday June 11th, 2016

Camp Format:

  • Thecamp provides an opportunity to be evaluated bythe Northern NM NAIA Assignor, the NMAA Southwest Varsity Assignor, theEl Paso Varsity Assignor, the NMAA Head of Evaluations as well as several other NM Evaluators.
  • Officials will be instructed in 2 & 3-person officiating mechanics.
  • Classroom Sessions, Film Breakdown Sessions & Speaker Forums will be included.
  • All games will be filmed for camp attendees at OHS Main gym.
  • Each official will receive instruction and personal evaluations that are guaranteed to benefit both new and veteran officials. Each official who would like a copy of their game film should provide their own flash drive.
  • Basic areas of focus to include: Rotations, Switches, Foul Reporting, Primary Areas & Communication.
  • Advanced areas of focus to include: Game management, Coach and player management, Possession consequence and RSBQ plays.
