In Hand Classes

Class 1 – Coloured Horse or Pony in hand

Coloured mare, stallion or gelding to be shown in hand. Any breed, height and

age to include Dun, Palomino and Spotted horses and ponies.

Class 2 –Horse or Pony of Cob type in hand

Mare, stallion or gelding of cob type to be shown in hand. Any breed, height and

age to include traditional and hogged.

Class 3 – Sports/ Hunter Horse or Pony in hand

Mare, stallion or gelding of sports or hunter type to be shown in hand. Any breed,

height and age.

Class 4 – Pure or Part-bred Mountain and Moorland in hand

Mare, stallion or gelding of mountain and moorland type to be shown in hand. Any

height and age to include Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Eriskay, Exmoor, Fell,

Highland, New Forest, Shetland and Welsh A, B, C, D Ponies.

Class 5 – Ex Racehorse in hand

Mare, stallion or geldingex-racehorse to be shown in hand. Any height and age.

Class 6 – Veteran Horse or Pony in hand

Mare, stallion or geldingover the age of 15 to be shown in hand. Any height and

breed.

In Hand Championship will follow after Class 6. All 1st and 2nd prize winners from Classes 1 to 6 to come forwards.

Ridden Classes

Class 7 – Ridden Coloured Horse or Pony

Coloured mare, stallion or gelding to be shown under saddle. Any breed, height and

age to include Dun, Palomino and Spotted horses and ponies.

Class 8–Ridden Horse or Pony of Cob type

Mare, stallion or gelding of cob type to be shown under saddle. Any breed, height and age to include traditional and hogged.

Class 9 – Ridden Sports/ Hunter Horse or Pony

Mare, stallion or gelding of sports or hunter type to be shown under saddle. Any

breed,height and age.

Class 10 – Ridden Pure or Part-bred Mountain and Moorland

Mare, stallion or gelding of mountain and moorland type to be shown under saddle.

Class 13 – Riding Club Horse or Pony

Riding Club horse or pony to be shown under saddle. Any height and breed. Must be shown in a snaffle bridle. Class to include an optional small jump.

Ridden Championship will follow after Class 13. All 1st and 2nd prize winners from Classes 7 to 13 to come forwards.

Entry fee £8 per class for NLRC members, £10non-members.

Entries will be taken on the day at a £2 surcharge per class.

Rosettes 1st to 6th in each class

There will be an In Hand and a Ridden Championship

Closing date 8thMay 2017.

No entries will be taken without payment, please make cheques payable to NLRC.

RULES

1.THE EVENT WILL BE RUN ACCORDING TO RIDING CLUB RULES.

2.HATS MUST CONFORM TO CURRENT HAT STANDARDS

3.APPROXIMATE TIMINGS WILL BE POSTED ON THE WEB

4.ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE UP-TO-DATE MEMBERS OF AN AFFILIATED RIDING CLUB or HOLD PRIVATE 3RD PARTY INSURANCE.

5.HORSES/PONIES MUST BE 4 YEARS OR OVER.

6.NLRC RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SPLIT, MERGE OR CANCEL ANY CLASSES AS NECESSARY.

7.JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.

8. FIRST AIDERS WILL BE PRESENT BUT THERE WILL BE NO VETERINARY PRESENCE.
