Nicole Mattson Memorial Athletic Scholarship
Nicole Mattson was a senior at RanchoCotateHigh School in 2004. She was a student in the Cotate-Rohnert Park School District her entire life. During Nicole’s years in school she played softball for the Rohnert Park Girls Softball League, the Rohnert Park Rebels and Rancho Cotate High School. Nicole was a great pitcher! She had a GPA of 3.0 in high school. Nicole also served as the statistician for Rancho Cotate’sboy’s basketball & wrestling teams and loved to watch soccer,and football as well.
The Nicole Mattson Memorial Athletic Scholarship was established to honor Nicole who was the passenger in a fatal car crash on September 6, 2004 which took her away far too soon. The Nicole Mattson Memorial Athletic Scholarship provides Rancho Cotate High School seniors who have participated in RCHS sports during their high school years and are continuing their education with some financial assistance. Nicole would be very proud and honored to be remembered in this way. This Athletic Scholarship will target athletes who show (1) a financial need, (2) good academic standing, and (3) character.
The students will be selected by the Nicole Mattson Memorial Athletic Scholarship fund Board of Directors after careful review of all applications and associated criteria.
The Athletic Scholarship will award up to 5 NMMAS applicants. The awards will be given to the recipient at the Annual Rancho Cotate High School Senior Awards night.
In order to keep the Nicole Mattson Memorial Athletic Scholarship fund active, there will be future fundraising activities.Personal donations to the fund can be mailed to:

Exhibit Financial Need
