The run will last about an hour and lunch will be available afterwards if required (food ordered before we set off). There is parking at the pub or in the carpark down the road near the church. Please let Janet know if you are able to come and join us for what should be a really enjoyable run.

ENTERING FOR RACES

“One of the Committee’s objective this year is to increase the number of club members representing Launceston Road Runners at races.

With this in mind, we have identified three races that we will target with a view to getting as many club members as possible to turn out.

The races we have chosen will suit runners of all abilities and are certainly suitable for those that may be contemplating racing for the first time. We have appointed a Race Captain for each of the races who will be encouraging club members to enter. The three races selected are

Bideford 10K- Sunday 12th May at 11am- Race Captain Lisa Baxter

Cubert 5M-Tuesday 4th June at 7.30pmRace CaptainSue Parkin

Bude Lifeboat Run-Wednesday 12th June at 7.15pmRace CaptainPeter Thorp

It really would be great if club members supported us with a good turnout at these races. We will look at shared transport, club photo opportunies and the chance to catch up afterwards as a group.” Peter Thorp

BUDE LIFEBOAT RUN

As mentioned above we would like to get as many club members as possible to enter the Bude Lifeboat Run. This race is organised by Stephen Hutchinson and his team from Bude. It is an excellent and enjoyable race around Bude’s cycle way, canal towpath and off road footpaths. Entry forms are available on club nights from the notice board or from Peter Thorp. If you cannot run then it would be good if you could volunteer to help out. It would be great to have a good Launceston turnout in support of our Bude club members.
