Skills:
Familiarity and current usage of PC computers
Access Database experience, or similar database experience, necessary

Coordinate among several OCCA/NPAF staff and volunteers

Project Description:

This Newport Paper Arts Festival project calls for a temporary, part-time, hourly independent contractor from early February 2015 through the end of April 2015. Approximately 10 hours per week (hours will vary from week to week) until April 16-19 when the commitment is 8-10 hours per day.
Will need to be available and in Newport April 13-15 and must be available during the NPAF on Friday-Sunday, April 17-19, 2015, in Newport to check registrants in, collect remaining monies, balance income and make reports. Mobility to drive among the workshop spaces throughout Newport for signage, oversight, and photography a necessity. Total NPAF project hours will be approximately135-160 hours.
The successful candidate is a self-starter with office experience who can work on his/her own. This work involves recording NPAF registrations and lunch requests in a timelymanner as they come in and communicating with the registrants and OCCA/NPAF staff. Create registration packets, making motel arrangements for NPAF instructors, assist with NPAF instructor’s show and reception.
Candidate must have the ability to juggle multiple workshop requests by one person and the ability to balance registration fees and checks. Patience to change registration offerings if workshop is full and find another workshop for participant is necessary.
Candidate performs other NPAF duties as needed by the OCCA/NPAF.
There is the possibility of some work being done from home as well as on location at the Newport Visual Arts Center, in Newport, Oregon.
Must have consistent, reliable vehicle for transportation and a valid drivers license. Some pick up and delivery of boxes, files, arts supplies, other workshop supplies required. May lift up to 25 pounds. Bending, walking, sitting, standing, walking up stairs will/may be required.
References of similar work will be required. Participating in a past Newport Paper Arts Festival a plus.
NPAF Registration Coordinator: $11 per hour.
