President Beck regrets he was not able to contribute to the Administrative Corner at this time. As everyone knows, he has been very busy with a myriad of things. He is looking forward to the next time he is able to share a few words with all of you.

New Faculty Pictures Added

One of the first goals of PACE is to “foster and enhance communication among staff, faculty, and administration”. With that in mind readers will start to see more new faces presented in the newsletter. With the growth of our campus and new hires in all areas it will be beneficial for folks to have a face to put with a name.

Previously, only new full-time professional and classified staff hires were presented in the newsletter. Starting with this addition new full-time faculty/coaches will be added.

The focus of the newsletter will still be professional and classified staff information. The whole campus has been receiving the newsletter all along and PACE is proud to take part in placing pictures of all full-time hires.

Thanks. ~ Ann Keane, PACE newsletter editor

New Faces on Campus since January, 2006

I live in Castleford. I am planning on attending some college classes. I have made a complete circle by starting our working in the “New Student Information” Office, A.K.A. Student Activities now, split between Mary Jo Church and Graydon’s office then when Mary Jo made the big move I moved along with her. Then a great opportunity came for me to work here at the college under a grant funded program providing access and leadership to the Hispanic community. And alas to close the circle I am now again working in Student Activities, completing the rounds. In my free time I enjoy drawing, painting, basically anything that involves art. I also enjoy reading, mostly mysteries and thrillers. I am very happy for the opportunity to work at CSI; I am looking forward to the many exciting years here.

Our family moved to Twin Falls in July of 2003 after fifteen years in St. George, Utah. My hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico qualifies me as a city girl and my husband James grew up a country boy in Burley.Twin Falls was our compromise and, so far, it is working out quite nicely for our family.

We have three children. Seth, 21, is currently finishing his last few credits of the CSI Drafting Program through co-op work in a Boise engineering firm. He will soon move on to pursue a degree in Architectural Design at UNLV. Emily is 18 and a senior at Twin FallsHigh School. Upon graduating high school Emily plans to enroll in as many CSI choral and drama programs as possible… and maybe some academics too if there’s time. Ben is 14 and a high school freshman at O’Leary this year… which he thinks is just as “gay” (not what it meant when I was a kid) as being demoted to elementary school again when we moved here for his sixth grade year… I’m sure he’ll survive just fine .

I have been the part-time Special Events Coordinator for the HerrettCenter since November of 2004 so many of you may have met and worked with me already. I am so excited to expand my hours so I can continue to encourage our community to utilize this wonderful facility. I look forward to meeting and working with more of my CSI family as we support the arts and sciences as part of a well rounded education as well as a life long joy.
