PURPOSE OF THE REPORT

External and Internal Examiners are asked to make independent preliminary reports and provisional recommendations on the thesis. The Convenor of the Viva will then discuss the contents of the reports before examiners see the candidate. From this discussion the Exam Team will plan the structure of the examination and ensure all relevant issues are addressed appropriately. This report should contain brief preliminary thoughts. See the GSA Research Handbook for more details.
