Inter-School Netball & Rugby Fixtures

Last Friday we played netball and rugby matches at home to Ogmore Vale Primary School. On the netball court, our ‘A’ team won by 3 goals to nil; our ‘B’ team lost by five goals to nil; our ‘C’ team lost by three goals to one; and our ‘D’ team won by two goals to nil. Our ‘A’ rugby team lost 5-2 with our tries being scored by Jake Harries and Reggie Hyde-Jones; our ‘B’ rugby team lost 2-1 with our try being scored by Rio Williams. Well done to all who took part.

Isabella Warlow (Class 14)

Last weekend, Year 6 pupil Isabella Warlow and her dance partner Annie Bruten competed at the prestigious Tower Ballroom in Blackpool and confirmed their status as the leading pair for their age-group in the United Kingdom by winning both the Ballroom and Latin titles at the All England Open Grand Prix event. Many congratulations to you on this achievement!

Bridgend Schools Under 11s Football

Many congratulations to Year 6 pupils Finley Davies, Ethan Dewar and Reggie Hyde-Jones who represented Bridgend Schools Under 11s at football in their 3-2 victories over Newport Schools and the Haverfordwest Academy last weekend.

Bridgend Schools Cross-Country Race Meeting – Saturday 24th March 2018

At the last meeting which took place at Porthcawl Comprehensive School, Year 6 pupil Lois O’Gorman completed the course in 37th place out of 61 competitors which is an excellent performance. Well done Lois! The next meeting will take place on Saturday 24th March 2018 at 10 a.m. at Brynteg Comprehensive School.

Mrs Gina Hooper (School Crossing Patrol Officer)

Sadly, tomorrow will be the final day for Mrs Gina Hooper as our school crossing patrol officer on Commercial Street, Kenfig Hill. On behalf of all of the pupils, parents and staff of the school, I would like to thank Mrs Hooper for all of her hard work and to wish her all the very best for the future.
