My Imaginary Animaland Its Habitat
Project Directions
You have learned that most animals are specially suited to life in a particular habitat. This is your chance to create a new animal! Create an animal by either drawing or constructing it and its habitat. Then, explain the characteristics (elements) of the habitat. Also explain your animal’s features and behaviors that help it survive in this particular habitat. On the due date, you will have the opportunity to share your animal and their habitat with your classmates!
Use the attachedworksheet and rubric as guide.
Some key parts to include:
What type of food does my animal eat?
Was I detailed in drawing/constructing the appearance of my animal? (what it looks like)
Does my animal need water?
What type of shelter does my animal need?
How is my habitat arranged?
How large a space does my animal need?
What type of care will my animal need to survive?
Did I include non-living and living things?
What is the name of my animal?
Does it have a predator?
Other interesting facts about your animal…
