Report cards are being issued Wednesday, January 6th. Students that took the PARCC tests last year, will have a copy of the results with their report card.

Friday, January 15th, is a School Improvement Day. There will only be a half day of school on this day.

Dismissal times are: KG-2nd: 12:15 pm; 3rd-5th: 12:20; 6th-8th: 12:25 pm. Buses will run at 12:30 pm.

There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 18th (M. L. King Holiday).

PTA meeting will be held on Tues., Jan. 19th at 3:15 pm in the Jr. High Computer Lab.

Monday, January 25th, Interstate Studio (our school photographers) will be at the school taking candid pictures for the yearbook of all grade levels and a group picture of the Volleyball team. (Volleyball players are reminded to bring their uniform for the picture.)

For parents who pay by the month, lunch amount due for January is $45.00.

Early dismissals and school closings due to weather con-ditions will be announced on:

Radio Stations: KMOX (1120 AM), WSMI (1540 AM and 106.1 FM), and TV Stations: KMOV News 4, KSDK News 5 and FOX 2 News.

Parents should also receive a call, text, or e-mail from the school’s automated service. If you have not been receiving our calls, please call the office and update your phone number or update it on Powerschool.

Six Flags Read to Succeed program for students in KG – 6th Grade is starting this week. Please encourage your child to complete six hours of recreational reading by February 22nd.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR SAVING BOX TOPS. Every class in the Grade School will receive a popcorn party this month for collecting at least 400 box tops in their classroom.

Please keep saving Campbell’s soup labels, Labels for Education points, proof of purchase logos from Little Italy’s Pizza, and Coke products bottle caps.

Tues., January 28th, is our 100th day of school. Students

will celebrate in various ways in their classrooms. Those students that have 100 points in AR will receive a special treat.

Please make sure your student is prepared for recess by wearing a warm jacket, hat and gloves. If you need a coat, hat or gloves, please stop by the School Office, or call 999-4241 and let the secretary know. We have some local churches that have donated some of these items.
