MT MERCER WIND FARM TOUR

TERMS CONDITIONS

Thank you foragreeing to participate in the Mt Mercer wind farm tour arranged by Powershop Australia (Powershop) and Meridian Energy Australia (Meridian) in conjunction with Museums Victoria (Mt Mercer Tour). This document sets out the terms and conditions of entry. We ask that you read it carefully to ensure that you are comfortable with the content before you participate in the Mt Mercer Tour.

The Mt Mercer Tour will take place on Saturday17 March 2018. We will travel by bus to Mt Mercer Wind Farm located at 286 Shelford-Mt Mercer Rd, Mt Mercer. The Mt Mercer Tour has a maximum capacity of 140 visitors. The bus will leave the Melbourne Museum at 10am and return by 4pm.

At Powershopour highest priority is to the health and safety of our people and facilities. All visitorsto the wind farm will be required to participate in a safety briefing and must adhere to the instructions of Meridian and Powershop representatives at all times.

By registering your attendance on the Mt MercerTour, you:

  • confirm that no children under the age of 7 years will attend. All children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian;
  • consent to participate in the Mt Mercer Tour;
  • acknowledge that Powershop reserves the right to cancel the Mt Mercer Tour at any time including, but not limited to, in the event of severe weather conditions;
  • acknowledge that in no event shall Powershop be held liable to you for any damage, claim or loss arising directly or indirectly from the Mt Mercer Tour, or in any way in relation to your participation in the Mt Mercer Tour, including, but not limited to, any consequential loss (including by reason of the negligence of a party);
  • consent to your involvement in the Mt Mercer Tour being recorded by Powershop;
  • acknowledge and consent that the entire recording may be used for marketing purposes by Powershop; and
  • consent to Powershop making use of the recorded material at its discretion in any way and for whatever period it so chooses.

THINGS TO NOTE

Clothing and shoes –You will need towear a long-sleeved top and full length pants and fully enclosed flat footwear.

Sunburn –Please wear sunscreen and re-apply at regular intervals.

Travelling –Whilst driving to and from Mt Mercer, please be seated at all times.

Snakes –On occasions there have been sightings of snakes at Mt Mercer wind farm so please stay within the designated areas at all times. In the unlikely event of a snake bite, staff will have a snake bite kit available.

Slips, trips and falls –Please take care when moving around the wind farm. Should an injury occur, staff will have a first aid kit available.All incidents must be reported to a staff member.

Getting lost –The Mt Mercer Tour will take place on private property with the landowner’s permission. Please stay within the designated area at all times, and do not wander off from the tour group.

Evacuation –Should an unexpected emergency occur, please gather at the designated emergency point. Please remain with your group and tour guide and prepare to leave site if necessary.

Protecting the environment –Any type of littering is prohibited. Due to the wind farm being located on private property we ask that you refrain from causing any damage to the property or buildings.

Flora and fauna– Animals are not permitted. Care should be taken to protect and observe native fauna whilst at the wind farm. Care should also be taken not to disturb farm livestock or crops.

Drugs and alcohol– Consumption of alcohol and illegal substances is prohibited.

Smoking– There is no smoking at the wind farm or on the bus.

Don’t forget to bring your camera for some great shots! Please let us know if you have dietary requirements. While we will make an effort to cater for them, please note we may not be able to accommodate all requests.
