CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
1. Don’t speak when others are speaking!!! à “Chatterbox Box”
2. Preparedness: Please come to class prepared with the appropriate binder, textbooks, and supplies. When the “bell” rings, students need to be silent, seated in assigned seats and ready for instruction.
3. Late Assignments/Absences: If you are absent, it is your responsibility to catch up on any material missed. Lack of knowledge about assigned work will not be considered a valid excuse for failure to complete homework, to hand in an assignment, or not to study for a test. If you are absent on the day of a due date, the assignment is still due and should be dropped off or e-mailed.
10% will be taken off each day from the original due date.
4. Missed Test: If you are absent for a test or quiz, you will need to provide a note from a guardian acknowledging what you have missed and a valid reason. The test or quiz will be rescheduled immediately for the following class. Final exams will not be rescheduled.
5. Participation: There is a participation mark based upon attendance and participation in class and completion of homework. This is not an automatic mark, but one awarded on merit. Students are expected to make distinct and individual contributions to class discussion, group work, and directed study.
Please keep all phones, earphones, and laptops in your bag unless specified.
6. Plagiarism will not be tolerated: you will receive a zero mark and you may receive disciplinary action.
I have read and understand the “classroom expectations” of the classroom.
