Lesson / Create an organizer with character’s, plot and setting for them to prepare a story. Discuss these elements in previous stories. / Writer’s workshop- discuss the previous days list and begin their stories. / Reading Comprehension- Tanja’s Books and answer questions. Handout-Making Predictions based on the example sentences. / Writer’s Workshop- Go over stories with students individually as they are finishing. / Read their stories aloud and then discuss the characters, plot and setting.
Vocabulary/Spelling / Find and write definitions of vocabulary words on index cards. Staple in agendas / Spelling Practice- 4, Fit the shape of the word, and words in the sentences-subtract the letters. / Spellling Word Search , and practice words with hangman on dry erase boards / Have students work in groups of two or three.
