Mrs. Murphy’s Kindergarten News

September 4, 2015

The children have done a fantastic job with learning our daily routine. I am very proud of them, and I am looking forward to a great year!

Throughout the year I will keep you informed of everything that is going on in our classroom through this weekly newsletter.

*Thank you for sending in the blue folders every day. Please continue to do this for the entire year and place all notes, lunch/milk money and homework inside. Also, please remove all papers each day. If you send in lunch or milk money for your child please make sure that it is in an envelope/baggie with your child’s first and last name written on the outside, along with my name. Please also include your child’s full name and my name on any notes that you send in to school because they are all sent to the office. Thank you!

*Each Friday your child will bring home a yellow “Friday Folder” with notices and information about our school. Please have your child return this folder on Monday.

*Thank you for sending in healthy, nut free snacks each day. Starting on Tuesday please send in two snacks every day. Please also include a drink, a juice box or water bottle would be great. The food that you send in for lunch does not need to be nut free.

*On Tuesday your child will receive a new bus tag. Please continue to have your child wear his/her name tag to school every day until September 25.

*We will begin having all of our Specials once we go to our full day on Tuesday, September 8, and the children will go out for recess every day.

*Each month we will read books by a particular author. If your child has books at home written by the “Author of the Month” they are welcome to bring them in to share with the class. Please make sure that their name is written in the book. Our first author will be Mercer Mayer.

*The “Me Dolls” are coming out great! I can’t wait to see the rest of them.

*We are very fortunate to have 3 paraprofessionals working in our classroom this year! Mrs. Faull and Miss Jen will be with us in the morning, and Mrs. Albert will be with us in the afternoon.

Have a great weekend!
