THANK YOU: Deacon Jim and I,thank you for all the cards, Masses, gifts, good wishes. I thank you also for the Christmas offering. I am very grateful for all the hard work by so many, throughout the year and in preparing for the Christmas celebrations in church.

1st JANUARY: is the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God. Mary always prayed, trusting in God; as we start a new year it is a good time for us to pray for our relationship with God to be strengthened by placing our trust in Him.

CRIB OFFERINGS: support the work of NOAH among the homeless & destitute. The season of Christmas ends with the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord on Monday 8thJanuary and I ask for helpers to take the crib & tree down from the church, with thanks for all who helped put them up.

EPIPHANY: is celebrated next Sunday.

SPUC: the annual collection to help the Society for the Protection of unborn children takes place 6/7th January. They campaign to protect the right to life across the age spectrum.

CHRISTMAS POSTERS: our thanks to the Luton Knights of St Columba for the Christmas posters which I am pleased to see displayed in people’s houses.
