Morning News Producer

KSNB-TV, the NBC affiliate serving Lincoln, Grand Island, Hastings, and Kearney, is accepting applications for a full-time morning newscast producer located in Lincoln, NE. You will a key driver of an important morning newscast, finding and producing compelling, important stories that drive viewership.

You’ll need to be a competitive self-starter, who can work well independently, as you will be working an overnight shift, away from the structure of the normal news day.

You must be able to think strategically about the content in the two-hour morning show, winning and carrying over viewers throughout the newscast. You must be able to collaborate effectively with the rest of the morning team, and contribute to a fun, but competitive work environment.

You must be comfortable with all platforms of digital journalism, from newscasts, to web posting, to social media, and push alerts. Occasional on-air opportunities may be available to the right candidate.


Requirements

·  Broadcast journalism experience

·  College degree or equivalent job experience in a journalism related field

·  Exceptional writing ability

·  Leadership skills

·  Exceptional news judgment

·  Professional knowledge of news operations required

Position would require permanent residence in Lincoln, Nebraska.
