2000 - Conservative Synagogue High School, Westport, Connecticut: Instructor: “Life Lessons” incorporating yoga, meditation and art.

2000 - Rippawam Magnate School, Stamford, Connecticut: Facilitated large-scale sculpture project that incorporated mindfulness practices with 8th graders in Stamford, Connecticut and Rockefeller Plaza, New York City.

OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Founder and director, Mindfulness-Based Self Expression (MBSE), a curriculum to enhance creativity, strengthen attention and emotional stability.Developed from Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, MBSE is distinguished from other mindfulness based programs in that it incorporates experiential art-based exercises with traditional mindfulness practices in a format designed for use in the classroom. Originally developed specifically for children MBSE is now taught to people of all ages.

Co-founder of the Shamballa Project,a holiday hospice where mindfulness and creativity were offered to terminally ill cancer and AIDS patients.

Mentoring through ArtTable, a group of professional women in the visual arts to foster greater support, recognition and opportunities among students.
