Dear Parent or Guardian,

We are writing to inform you about the uniform for your child’s upcoming culinary arts class.

We are an ACF Certified Program here are the Minimal Clothing requirements for an ACFEF Secondary Certified programs.

The Culinary Program works with New Chef to provide your child’s uniform. We receive a group discount on uniforms. The culinary jacket includes the embroidered student name, ACF, Prostart, and school logo. The following is a list of your child’s required needs for the culinary program.

2- Chef jackets (White)

2 checkered pants

2 bib aprons

2 floppy chef hats

1 polo shirts (color determined by program)

Black pants, not jeans

Rubber soled shoes (Chef shoes can be purchased at K-Mart,Walmart or any chef clothing supplier)

All items except the shoes and black pants are to be purchased through www.newchef.com

Here are the instructions to order your uniforms:

It is important that you log into the correct teacher to purchase the uniform since the two programs have a different uniform.

1.  Go to: www.monroecti.org

2.  Go to: teachers

3.  Go to your child’s teacher: Stelmach, Tamara or Hendry, George.

4.  Go to uniforms located down the left side of the page.

5.  This will take you to the form and the New Chef website.

6.  Call or Fax your order in.

If you do not know what program your child is in, please call pupil services at 570 629-2001 and ask.

By ordering this way, you will save shipping and handling charges. Uniforms will be shipped to the school and available the to your child within the first weeks of school.

Important information:

The cutoff date to order is: August 11, 2014.

Ordering after the cut off date:

If you order after the cut off date, you will have to pay shipping and handling.

The order should be sent to your home address if this occurs.

Returning students who have a clean uniform can use that uniform for the upcoming year. Those students have been told and know it must pass the “Ms. Wood” inspection in order to use it. If not, they will need to order new uniforms. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Additional Information:

Students are also required to have a 3-ring binder (1 inch ring or higher) to be used only for Culinary Arts.

This is needed on the first day of school.
