Modifications for Fitness Gram (FG) Test Items

For Students with Disabilities

Modifications to FG testing for students with disabilities is being piloted in several NC school districts at this time. Though CMS is not a part of this pilot, we are making available to you the modifications being studied that will eventually be part of the FG, so that all student scores can be recorded. Students who can perform some of the regular FG items should have those officially recorded.

All students should learn and practice FG activities, modified to meet their needs. Even if scores are not entered in the Fitness Gram, all students can have pre-test scores on modified activities, then be tested at the end of the year to see if post-test scores have improved over the year.

Please contact the APE Dept. with any questions you have regarding FG testing for all EC students. We will be glad to come out and assist you with your testing.
