Miss OSU Scholarship Pageant Application Information
The Miss OSU Scholarship Pageant is on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall on the OSU Stillwater campus. The Pageant is open to women at all Oklahoma State University campuses between the ages of 17 and 25. The young woman selected to be Miss OSU will be an automatic qualifier to the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. Also, Miss OSU will be expected to represent the OSU system of campuses in various events throughout the year.
Scholarships: There are five scholarships to be awarded to Miss OSU and the four runner-ups:
Miss Oklahoma State University $ 1200.00
1st Runner-up $ 600.00
2nd Runner-up $ 325.00
3rd Runner-up $ 225.00
4th Runner-up $ 150.00
Application Forms Checklist: Please go to http://missosu.okstate.edu and complete the official forms. Print them and submit them along with your other materials in the following order.
1. _____Photos: Attach 8.5”x11” photocopy with application AND send a high-resolution digital copy to for the Miss OSU program. The photocopy can be black and white.
2. _____Copy of Birth Certificate
3. _____Contestant Entry Form
4. _____Contestant Resume
5. _____Platform Issue Statement
6. _____Local Contract (signed and notarized) Note: When filling out this form, the “Organization Name” is Miss Oklahoma and the “Competition/Title” is Miss OSU.
Completed entry packets should be returned to the Allied Arts office, 058 Student Union, by 5 P.M. on Monday, August 31, 2017. Please put them in a large envelope with your name written on the outside.
Other Information:
The Miss America organization is requiring all Local Pageant Contestants to participate in their National Platform for the Children’s Miracle Network again this year. You must register online at www.MissAmerica4Kids.org and choose Miss Oklahoma State University as the “Pageant competing for”. Be sure to register under pageant year 2018. You will need to send out e-mails to raise funds (minimum of $100.00) for the National Platform as part of this process.
In the event that the number of contestants warrants the need for a preliminary competition, this will be arranged as soon as possible after all applications have been received. The preliminary will consist of a talent competition and a short interview related to the candidate’s issue statement.
