2005 – 2009Freelance Translator

I am working as a Freelance Translator. My target language is Norwegian as I am a native Norwegian speaker. My source language is English. I also translate from Danish and Swedish in to English. My speciality is Legal and General Translation, but I have also taken on translation from a wide variety of fields such as; Electric, Education, Science, Literature, Marketing, Media, Tourism, Real Estate, Web-sites just to name but a few. This is now my full-time occupation, but it has between 2005 and 2008 been part-time.

2007 – 2008Sales Negotiator for New Housing Developments, Maitland Selwyn, U.K

I was the sole responsible person for the home development sites offices, the properties for sale on these developments and their show homes. I undertook all aspects of the sale of the properties from first initial contact with the house buyer to hand over their keys when the transactions were complete.

2006 – 2007Sales Negotiator for Building Products, Anglian Home Improvements, U.K

This was hard sales and I sold building products and finance to domestic customers.

2006 – 2006 Customer Service Specialists for Scandinavian Customers,Powergen, U.K

I dealt with all aspects of the Scandinavian energy customers’ enquiries and accounts, billing, electronic-payments, metering services and readings, energy advice, correspondence, opening and closing of accounts, gas leaks, health and safety. I built up a large portfolio with clients due to my efficiency and services.

2002 – 2003 Freelance Teacher and Translator, U.K

Due to an accident I had to post-pone my Legal Practise Course a year and I then took on Freelance Translation projects and taught adult English speakers Norwegian from beginner’s level up to advanced and specialised Norwegian.

1997 – 1999 Primary School Teacher for Munkerud Primary School, Norway

I taught all subject, including English and Norwegian, on all levels.I was the school’s immigrant language teacherand taught pupils from a vide variety of nations. I was also Special Needs Teacher for children with speech impediments, dyslexia, behavioural issues and learning difficulties..

1996 – 1997 Primary School Teacher for Trosterud Primary School, Norway

I taught all subjects on all levels and I successfully taught Norwegian to immigrants. I was also recruited as a Special Needs Teacher, due to my success at the previous school. I taught children with speech impediments, dyslexia, behavioural issues and other learning difficulties.

1995 – 1996 Primary School Teacher for Munkerud Primary School, Norway

I taught all subjects on all levels. I also replaced a teacher as she could no longer handle her own pupils and their parents. I successfully taught these students until their final year at the primary school in 1996 and I triumphantly also restored the parents trust in this school and its teaching quality.
