1.0Welcome
1.1Mr. Tucake welcomed the members to the meeting
2.0Matters Discussed
2.1.Location of the OHS Notice Board, Mr. Aisake with Mr. Tucake will work together on this.
2.2Follow up on the PPE.
2.3Meals provided at the Koronivia Cafeteria
Spices almost on all the food
Same throughout (Monday- Friday).
Suggestion brought up if they could change their Menus, need varieties plus need a rep from the Department as well.
2.4 Review of Incidents:
Mahen Singh –below 3 kg
Procedures should be followed to avoid incidents
2.5 Workplace Inspection- still pending.
Mr. Buluwale has a Work Inspection Procedures document in which he will forward to the chair for discussion.
2.6Fire hose Leaking close to Library Entrance.
2.7Suggestion on transport for student’s practical classes to the Livestock Farm.
3.0Other Matters Discussed.
3.1Hostel staff needs assistance for the review of the numbers of student in a room.
3.2Suggestions if OHS committee pushes for a proper sitting area for students while waiting for classes.
3.3Mr. Buluwale asking members to be patient with his properties staff with regards to most of the issue concerning them.
3.4 Suggestion on Wellness Programme; needed an organized sport for everyone to take part in.
3.5Mr. Buluwale emphasis on committee members that the OHS committee is a strong network when it comes to the Health and safety of the workers. He also mentioned if the committee can work together in looking after the college facilities.
3.6Discussion on Sports Equipment’s for the staff
