SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM

LUNCH MISSION STATEMENT

The Anthony School is fortunate to have vast diversity and numerous cultures represented within our school. Culinary Consultants mission is to expand the culinary experiences for our students, teachers, and staff by providing a nutritious and well-balanced lunch program. This culinary mission is designed to compliment the Anthony School’s innovative ways that has made them a leader in education. The Anthony School Lunch Program will focus on limiting processed foods, added sugars and colored dyes while moving towards organic, healthy options for our students and staff.

The Global Menu concept will represent four different cuisines per month while focusing on one cuisine for an entire week. The cuisines that will be represented but not limited to are:

American Southern Spanish Southwestern

Italian American Vietnamese Japanese

French Cuban Breakfast Indian

Cajun Irish Chinese

LUNCH OPTIONS

The Anthony Lunch Program is comprised of 5 lunch options Monday through Thursday. Friday lunches are reserved for the 8th Grade Pizza Fundraiser. Pizza ordering forms can be found in the office. These five lunch options will be listed each day on the Lunch Calendar. A complete week and yearly menus can be found on The Anthony School and Chef Paul’s website. ·  Basic Daily Lunch (BDL) global inspired, hot, nutritious meals

·  Box Lunch (BX) -conservative option to the global menu

·  Soup and Salad (SS) - favorite soup option with a side salad and dressing

·  Gluten Free (BP) – lunch items focusing on gluten free (min. charge included)

·  Salad Bar (SB) – traditional salad and Chef Hand Tossed Salad which you create

Prices are $4.15, $4.30, $4.85 and $5.15 for age appropriate portions. There is a minimal charge for all Gluten Free options. All of the lunches will INCLUDE a drink. Drink options will consist of Bottled Water, Coleman Dairy Milk and Coleman Dairy Chocolate Milk. Although, the drinks are included, we ask that you still order your drink so we can control our inventory for availability and freshness. If no drink is selected, bottled water will be selected automatically.

To lower the amount of waste, we serve as much of the food items on non-disposable dishes and bowls to enhance the food quality, ensure proper quantities, and become a better steward of our environment. If your student packs a lunch, please bring proper flatware from home because we will not be able to provide supplies for lunches NOT ordered.

LUNCH ORDING PROCESS

Online Ordering

To better serve you, parents can now order by the week; however, you are able to order multiple weeks in advance. Go to www.culinary-consultants.com to order your student’s lunches.

To order, simply type in student’s first and last name as it appears from registration. Enter appropriate grade and click on GO TO ORDER. Click on the drop down tabs to select any lunch for each desired day. For a more detailed menu description, click on “?” next to selection. Select your preferred drink to accompany each lunch selection. If no drink is selected, bottled water will be automatically selected for you. If you would like to receive an extra drink, click the “single” option to view the “extra” drink option. If you have any trouble, please go to tech support and ask for assistance.

When finished with your order(s), click the Blue Button/Pay With Card to enter your email and credit card information. A payment and order confirmation will be sent to the corresponding email address. Once the payment has been received, all orders will be saved and locked in. Orders not closed with payment will be automatically deleted. IF YOU DON’T RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION, YOUR ORDER NOT RECEIVED. This could be card declined, wrong numbers, ect. You may see a minimal processing charge on your checkout for tech support, data processing and security.

Charged Lunches

If you want to join your student for lunch or simply forget to order a lunch, you can CHARGE a lunch. All charged lunch prices are $6.00 and will need to be paid in office by cash or check. You or your student can simply enter the lunch line at the end of their class. We will offer a limited option for that day. We will document the charged lunch (es) and send out a weekly notification of all charged lunches. A quarterly invoice will be sent out for all outstanding charges to the parent or guardian.

Wednesday Reminders and FRIDAY Deadline

A weekly reminder of the up coming weeks’ lunches will be emailed to all parents every Wednesday afternoon. You will have until 2:00pm FRIDAY to select and pay for any lunches ordered for the following week(s). Please check your specific student’s school calendars for events and closings because once a lunch is ordered, it can not be changed or credited.

LUNCH DAY PROCESS

Once Culinary Consultants receive all the lunch orders by the proper due date; all of the data will be compiled into one form by grade, class and student. The teacher will bring the students in the cafeteria alphabetically. All students needing to charge a lunch will need to line up at the end of his/her class to expedite the lunch process. Once in line, students needing a lunch will receive a lunch tray, the appropriate meal, drink and necessary supplies.

Students NOT RECEIVING a lunch from the kitchen will be responsible for their own supplies such as flatware, napkins, dressings, condiments and cups. To keep expenses to a minimum, these items WILL NOT be available to students and staff not ordering a lunch.

Once a student has finished lunch, they will take their tray with all of the bowls, paper products, and drink containers to the designated Dish Window Area and return to class.
