Recognitions & commendations
Corey Grape thanked Sally Meyer for her service on the Lake Holcombe school board. A thank you was also extended to the residents of the school district, staff, and media for their support of the referendum. Tom Hayden updated the board on some equipment concerns. Updating the elementary air handling units had been budgeted for this fiscal year. However, due to recent, milder winters has led to higher use of the LP & oil boilers used to heat the building. As a result, these boilers are showing their age. The current LP & oil boilers are between 35 to 55 years old. The wood boiler fuel cell was rebuilt about 10 to 12 years ago. Tom is investigating the options replacement boilers that can use either LP or natural gas. These boilers would be even more efficient than the current wood boiler.
