AGENDA 3- Problem Solving Assessment

In accordance with board circulars the following points were reiterated-

  • No separate registration or roll number is needed for PSA which will be conducted on 14th Feb 2013.
  • It was agreed upon by all the Principals that the students need to be acquainted with the PSA syllabus and some training is also required on how to answer on an OMR sheet.
  • Gradation- FA IV is to be replaced by PSA,the question papers of which will be sent by the Board. All tools of FA III and FA IV will be conducted and merged. 10% of this will be reflected as FAIII. Only 2nd Language will be held in FA IV. The question papers will be prepared by the respective school teachers.

AGENDA 4- Evidence of Assessment (EA)

A format was sent by the Board instructing the Schools to send EA. It was noticed by Examiners and observers that many Schools have not sent worked out sheets but samples prepared by teachers. There has been some misinterpretation as the Board has specifically instructed that 15 samples (5 each from Top,Middle,Bottom level performers) of all assessments conducted throughout the year need to be sent.

In this regard, Ms R.Chatterjee pointed out that though the Board had sent an elaborate hand out to schools Principals, it did not have any parameter to judge the quality of EA. She however said a feedback will be sent from the Regional Office to the respective schools that have sent evidences of assessment.

It was also observed that the remunerations for evidence of assessment and other duties assigned by the Board have not been received by the host schools.

AGENDA 5- RTE

A notice for the Reserved Seats will be put up in the school or on the School website before the start of the admission process. It will also be mentioned that if the seats are not filled up by 31.03.2013, then a waiting list of selected applicants will be used to fill up those seats
