It was reported that the Omaha career fairs were well attended it is the desire of the group to continue with the effort. The 2016 dates are already confirmed for September 22-23. An educational component for members was suggested since the recruiters will be in town longer in an effort to make the most of their time. It was also suggested to not have vendors on campus but perhaps have them sponsor dinner. Additionally, it was suggested to promote opportunities 2-3 weeks in advance and have the coordinators assist in the marketing.
Discussion ensued as to whether or not to consider other fairs. Cynthia Forsythe offered to host a fair in Des Moines in 2017. Wichita was suggested as another possibility with Kayla and Debbie assisting. Debbie also suggested Kansas City in 2017.

There was a great deal of discussion around career fairs, specifically whether it is the best use of MINK resources to continue to participate. The idea of creating MINK business cards for individual recruiters to distribute at their own chosen fairs was agreed upon.
Approval was given to send the MINK president to the annual ASPR conference.
The decision was made to secure a booth at the AAFP conference in Kansas City July 28-30 as travel/lodging expenses would be minimal.
The summer educational conference was discussed. The decision was made to have the conference in Kansas City at the Town Pavilion which is close to several hotels, restaurants and the Power and Light District. Additionally, the conference will coincide with the AAFP conference, hopefully boosting attendance. Discussion ensued around speakers and informational sessions.
