COMMITTEE AND OFFICER HANDBOOK
INTRODUCTION
The American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science-Michigan (ASCLS-MI) is a constituent society of the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS). ASCLS-MI was incorporated in the State of Michigan on April 12, 1948 under the name of ASCLS-Michigan.
The purpose of this document is to provide guidance to officials and committees of the Society in performance of their duties and activities. As general references, the document includes the organizational chart, Bylaws and Regulations of the Society, the General Operating Policies (GOP) of the Michigan Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, duties/position descriptions of the officers, elected officials, appointed officials, committees of the Society and the forms routinely used.
The Handbook Committee of the Society is responsible for revising the Handbook and distributing current copies to incoming Society officials. Each official of the organization is responsible for reviewing the description of their position and recommending revision to the Handbook Committee.
