Service activities:
Summer broadcast meteorology workshop: Mr. Haby is an integral part in preparing the agenda, hosting and presenting each year at this 4-day summer workshop. The distance learning meteorology students travel to meet at this workshop as a capstone to the Broadcast Meteorology Program.
Webmaster for meteorology education website: Mr. Haby administers one of the most comprehensive and educational websites on the subject matter of operational meteorology. His students, former students and other users make up the 1,000+ visitors to the site each day. Through the website he educates his students, recruits students into the MSU meteorology programs and answers e-mails that come in through the site.
National Science Teachers Association (NSTA): Mr. Haby attends NSTA conferences as an exhibitor to recruit students into the MSU distance learning Teachers in Geoscience program
