ScholarshipAwardGuidelines (Member Category)
1.Applicantmustbean ASQ Section 0511 member in good standing (paid up dues).
2.Applicantmustbepursuingacareerinatechnicalfieldwithemphasisonquality.
3.ApplicantmustbesponsoredbyamemberofSection 0511.
4.ApplicantmustlivewithinthegeographicalareaoftheNoVaSection.Whennotclear,suchareashallbedeterminedbygoingtotheASQNationalwebsiteat
5.ApplicantmustsubmitthefollowingASQNoVa Section0511 ScholarshipApplicationForm.Theapplicationshallincludeaparagraphdescribinghowhe/she willplantoapplyqualityprinciplesinfutureemployment. If the application is for a scholarship to pay for one of the Section’s certification examination preparation courses, the applicant shall describe the need for the Section’s financial support (for example, is out of work and the certificate will better qualify him/her for employment).
6.Applicantmusthavesection member statusverifiedbythe MembershipChair by examination of the current ASQ membership roster.
7.AllapplicationswillbereviewedforcompliancebytheScholarshipCommittee.
8.TheSection Scholarship Committee members willselect candidates for award, and recommend them to the Section Board for approval. All candidates will be notified of the status of their applications.
