Competition will be tight with XX finalists competing in the genres of Pop; Urban / Electronic; Indie/Rock; Punk/Metal.
“The quality of the performances always blows me away,” says organiser Deb Hall. “These young musicians take to the stage and perform music they’ve written themselves in front of a live audience with so much professionalism and energy– it’s an amazing evening!”
The Finalists Showcase is being held as part of Youth Week from 6pm on Thursday 6th April at Southern Cross University’s Deck Bar. All are welcome to this all age’s event.
“Our finalists will be battling it out to see who will take the coveted titles of male and female songwriters of the year”. “Previous winners have gone on to do some marvellous things with their career, such as Ben Wilson and The No Frills Twins” says Deb.
“There are also some fantastic prizes to be won, including studio recording time so these young musicians can record their first professional EP” says Deb, “so it’s a really exciting evening to be part of.”
