Subject: Ecampus proposals awaiting Curriculum Council review

Hi Gary,

First, thanks for your work on the Rangeland Science proposal. The department is very excited to see this moving along.

I did want to check in with you on the status of some other proposals that are still awaiting CC review. Those programs are:

·  College Student Services Administration Graduate Major, EdM only

·  Natural Resource and Environmental Law and Policy Undergraduate Minor

·  MBA options in: 1) Innovation Management; 2) Supply Chain and Logistics Management

·  Queer Studies minor (just submitted this week, so no rush on that)

Would it be helpful for me to resend the Ecampus proposals for each of those programs?

Also, we had briefly discussed changing processes, with Ecampus submitting proposals through the CPS, rather than via email. I’d like to set up a meeting in mid-February to discuss this, but also to introduce a new colleague, Erica Curry, who will be taking on the coordination of Ecampus proposal. Would sometime during the week of Feb. 13th work for you?

Best,

Alfonso

Subject: College of Business/Ecampus MBA Graduate Option Proposals

Susan,

I have sent you two new CPS proposals ready for your review. The purpose of both proposals from the College of Business is to extend two of their existing graduate options of their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program to distant locations via online delivery by Ecampus. The two MBA graduate option proposals are:

·  Supply Chain and Logistics Management Graduate Option

https://secure.oregonstate.edu/ap/cps/proposals/view/99088

and

·  Innovation Management Graduate Option.

https://secure.oregonstate.edu/ap/cps/proposals/view/99102

The establishment of the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Graduate Option (CPS # 98158) was reviewed and approved by the Curriculum Council back in July, 2016. Portland, as a distant location for part-time students to be serviced by Ecampus was included within the proposal. The Innovation Management Graduate Option, was also reviewed and approved by the Curriculum Council back in July, 2016 but this proposal missed the inclusion of an Ecampus reference (CPS # 97973). Ecampus has subsequently reviewed and reaffirmed both proposals for online delivery, as has Prem Mathew, Co-Chair of the Curriculum Council.

The purpose of these two proposals is to document that the proposals where in fact reviewed and have the approval of the College of Business and Extended Campus, and have been reviewed by the Office of Academic Programs, Assessment, and Accreditation and the Curriculum Council. Final review and APPROVAL is by the Provost (Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs).

I have attached to each proposal the current online Catalog summary, along with a copy of the various email messages that are related to these two proposals.

If you have any questions regarding this College of Business and Ecampus proposal request, please contact Jim Coakley, College of Business; Alfonso Bradoch, Extended Campus; Prem Mathew, Curriculum Council Co-Chair, or myself for further information or explanation.

Thank you,

--Gary
