About the Philalethia College of Holistic Healing

As human suffering and disease are still very much a part of our lives it is necessary that we learn of the means and ways by which we can prevent as well as cure the various illnesses which afflict us. A life lived in harmony with the natural laws is one that expresses well-being in all aspects of its relationships. The College was founded in 1996 by Yiannis Pittis for the purpose of training and making available the essential teachings and practises of the healing arts and is part of the Philalethia Educational Foundation. It is housed in an old country building with beautiful gardens surrounding it, situated within the Ashdown Forest in West Sussex near East Grinstead.

Its objects are:

-  To provide a high standard of comprehensive training in holistic healing to those who have an inclination towards the healing arts.

-  To facilitate the giving of holistic healing to members of the general public so as to alleviate suffering caused by disease.

-  To further advance the recognition of holistic healing as a legitimate area for scientific research.

-  To raise public awareness of holistic healing through every appropriate means, including lectures, seminars, training and written material for publication.

What is Holistic Healing?

It is an integral art and science that acknowledges the whole constitution of the human being. Trained holistic healers are able to relate the effects to the corresponding causes, whether their origin is physical, psychological or spiritual. This enables them to direct spiritual healing energy through their hands and aura to the body and aura of the patient, with the full knowledge of the particular vehicle and centre of energy that is appropriate to use for the condition being treated. Thereby they are able to more effectively restore health and harmony, thus alleviating suffering.

About the Course

This course is designed as a living dynamic and engaging training that encompasses all aspects of the spiritual healing art and science. It includes a study of anatomy, the nature of the etheric, astral and mental vehicles, and the whole spiritual aura. The course incorporates successfully tested techniques and methods by which balance, harmony and well-being can be reinstated in any aspect of the human constitution whether physical, psychological or spiritual.

It is a three-year part-time course consisting of a number of individual modules of theoretical and practical work, which is studied and explored throughout a daylong seminar. Specific homework is assigned after each module so as to facilitate better absorption of the material and methods. At the end of each year students take an exam which, is designed to be free from stress and pressure.

Professional Training

The Philalethia Holistic Healing Course successfully integrates academic professionalism with the spiritual insights and wisdom of the ancient esoteric Aesclipian and Hippocratic schools of healing. It is one of the first comprehensive trainings of its kind.

Students are inspired to work on their personal development, which means refining their vehicles for the use as instruments for directing the healing energy. Simultaneously they will unfold the faculties of love-wisdom, creative intelligence and the will to do good. On completion of this training, the student will not only have absorbed the healing art, but will also be able to apply their skills professionally.
