2. Guests Arrive

  • Greet guests. Introduce yourself.
  • Wash hands at sink with Sea Salt Scrub.
  • Wash Faces with RE9 Wash at sink.
  • Distribute About Face Brochure and ask clients to fill out grey portion of the Client Profile.
  • Prepare make-up palettes in the following order from left to right – Primer, Foundation (shade picked for individual), Fair Concealer, Loose Powder, Bronzer

3. Getting Started

  • Introduce yourself, thank hostess (present her with her gift) and welcome them to the get together.
  • Go around the room and have guests introduce themselves and share what their favorite make up product is.
  • Share your story – Talk about the business, its benefits and your “why”

4. Presentation

  • Today we are going to be learning perfect application techniques and tips featuring Arbonne About Face Color Cosmetics.
  • We will be watching an instructional DVD and will have an opportunity to practice the techniques.
  • After the presentation, I’d like to meet with each of you individually to share with you specific products to accommodate your personal needs and budget.
  • First we need to prepare our skin for the make-up application.
  • Everyone here is in for a real treat tonight because you are going to sample what Arbonne is best known for. That is our Anti-Aging Skin Care System, NutriMinC RE9. NutriMinC RE9 is Arbonne’s anti-aging skin care line. Unfortunately it’s a fact of life that matter deteriorates. This line addresses repairing, preventing and reversing the visible signs of aging. We want to have great skin so that we have a beautiful canvas to apply our make-up on.
  • (Walk guests through the RE9 System on their face. Toner, Lift, Serum, Eye Cream, Day Cream.)
  • (Highlight pumps and length of use as well as step by step stickers)

5. Play DVD – Face Application

  • Play DVD from the beginning through the application of foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and blush. Then pause the video and allow guests to apply their make-up to that point.
  • Make-up Primer – apply to T-zone & eyelids and blend to hairline and down to the jaw.
  • Foundation – use the cosmetic wedge and apply liquid to T-zone, then blend to the hairline and down to the jaw. Blend well at the jaw so you don’t have a line of demarcation.
  • Concealer – apply with the concealer/foundation brush. Choose a shade lighter than your foundation. Apply a ½ moon shape above and below the eye (inside the nose). You can also highlight areas such as the brown bone, cheek bone, bridge of nose, laugh lines around the mouth and the chin. Blend with the foundation (larger) end of the brush.
  • Set make-up with loose powder using the damp cosmetic wedge that was used to apply your foundation. Brush off excess with largest brush in the brush set.
  • Contour with the Bronzer using the fan-shaped brush. Start in the hairline and work towards the center of the face. Don’t go past the pupil or below the ear lobe. Lightly dust on temples to pull the look together. Blend with the cosmetic wedge.
  • Use the largest brush to very lightly dust the bronzer all over the face for a sun-kissed look.
  • May use personalizer to eliminate shine.
  • Blush – Apply to apples of the cheeks. Smile when doing this!

6. Eye Technique

  • Play all the way through the technique once so they can see it start to finish. Then walk them through and give the guests a chance to apply each step.
  • Audrey Eye Technique –

-Cover entire lid with Linen

-Apply Smudge and/or Inkling to Crease (may use each color alone or mix them for a darker effect)

-Use Gilded as an overlay on the crease color and all over the lid below the crease.

-Use Tulle for the starlight effect (place in middle of lower lid right above the pupil and blend)

-Apply Eclipse Eye Pencil above top lashes. Below bottom lashes is optional.

-Apply Mascara

  • Smokey Eye Technique –

-Cover entire lid with Linen

-Mix Smudge & Inkling and apply over the lid and into the crease

-Use Bewitched as contrast color on lid

-Apply Eclipse Eye Pencil to inner lid (top and bottom. Then apply Eclipse Eye Pencil above top lashes.

-Apply Mascara

7. Lip Technique

  • Play lip technique, which will go through the lip liner/lipstick application. Then walk guests through and allow them to apply.

-Outline lips with darker liner (Kola) then fill in entire lips with lighter liner (Nice)

-Apply Lipstick & Gloss

NOTE: Throughout the application of each step, be sure to emphasize the proper brushes needed.

8. Close
