Role & Purpose

The Fundraising Intern will play a key role in supporting the Corporate, Philanthropy and Golf programmes in a range of activities aimed at increasing the revenue generated by the Major Supporters to CMRF Crumlin.

This is a 9 month internship programme offering a wonderful opportunity to learn and develop with the support and mentoring of experienced fundraising and other professional staff in CMRF Crumlin.

Key Responsibilities;

·  Day to day liaison between existing Major Supporters and CMRF Crumlin to help them deliver their plans with our support

·  The provision of cross functional support to ensure that major supporter expectations are met and realised so that the overall experience of working in partnership with CMRF Crumlin is extremely positive.

·  Working closely with our stakeholders to deliver impact reports for existing major supporters.

·  Supporting new business development by providing prospect research, data analysis and key insights to inform partner pitches.

·  Working with the Marketing and Communications team to collate case studies and other information to be used by the Fundraising team.

Specific Tasks;

·  Providing day to day support to department heads in the administration of major support programmes (philanthropy, golf, corporate)

·  Organise and oversee project visits as appropriate to the stewardship process for major supporters.

·  Supporting the Corporate, Philanthropy and Golf area managers to manage all contacts in the CMRF Donor/Support database & ensuring all income from these audiences is tracked and accounted for

·  Oversee the banking and thanking process for all major supporters to CMRF.

·  Develop and deliver a programme of prospect research for major gift and corporate partnership programme.

·  Working with team and support teams to develop key cultivation events, thank you events, and major supporter visits to the hospital and the National Children’s Research Centre.

·  Support existing partners and major supporters by refreshing / collating relevant materials, branding and promotional supports to administer their annual plans

·  Produce web content and social media schedule for all corporate and partner activities

·  Represent CMRF Crumlin at events relevant to partner and major gift programmes to help build the CMRF partnership brand.

General

·  Participation at meetings as required

·  Undertake any relevant work delegated by the management team

·  Share CMRF’s values, participate as a full member of the CMRF team and support activities across the whole organisation as appropriate.

·  Engage in regular one to one sessions with your manager

·  Participate in relevant training and development courses as agreed with your manager.

·  Be vigilant to any Health, Safety and Welfare risks in the workplace and bring any concerns to the attention of your manager or Health & Safety Representative

Person Profile

·  A graduate of Business, Comms, Marketing (or other relevant discipline)

·  Experience in administration in a complex and busy environment

·  High degree of initiative, flexibility and creativity

·  Ability to research, analyse and collate data concisely and clearly

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly both written and oral with a diverse range of audiences

·  Excellent organisation and project management skills

·  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint

·  The ability to be flexible in relation to working hours to meet the needs of the environment. Work during unsociable may be required from time to time.
