JOB TITLE: CAD Draughtsman & System Administrator / SECTION: Drawing Office

A BROAD PURPOSE OF JOB
The CAD Draughtsman & System Administrator is responsible for the day to day management of As Built drawings and services information using AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional to Bard Pharmaceutical Group and our Independent Associated Companies (IAC’s)
B PEOPLE AND PROCESS MANAGEMENT
Process Management
· Manage as built record drawings and associated schedules to ensure their current “As Built” status is maintained
· Administer the operation of the company’s AutoCAD & Vault Drawing depository system, ensuring that the system is secure in operation and maximised in its use.
· Provide drawing office service to Bard and its IAC’s.
· Provide conceptual and feasibility design work on projects in conjunction with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
· To supervise contract draughtsman as and when required.
· Assist in the development of drawing office procedures as and when required
· Assist in retrieval of As Built records during Regulatory Inspections and Audits.
· Manipulation and Transfer of As Built data to external Consultants and Suppliers.
Budget Management
· Maintain supplies of drawing office consumables and maintaining equipment.
· Provide budgetary information and manage annual CAD maintenance agreements & software updates
C KNOWLEDGE
· AutoCAD 2015-2018, Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional Software.
· Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
· Drawing Office Procedures
· Overview of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services
· Change Control applied to Validated and Non Validated Engineering Equipment, Systems and Facilities.
· Overview of Project Management and Project Engineering process.
· Surveying of Building Services Systems
Legislation (Regulatory and Statutory)
· Health and Safety Requirements applied to As Built records.
· Requirement for maintaining Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Business Awareness
To understand and appreciate the business both in terms of Bard and its IAC’s and also the changing environment in which they operate.

· Operation and use of AutoCAD Suite of Products
· Organisation and planning of workload delivering an effective service to the customer
· Managing Design and Operation Manual Library

Change Management
· To record all changes to drawings and relevant documents using information received from within the organisation and external suppliers, via the Engineering Change Control Procedure or Planned Variations Procedure.
· To maintain historical information of all changes
· To inform other parts of the organisation of relevant change information
Communications
· To deliver effective communications at all levels both within the organisation and external suppliers.
