Sanction: This meet is sanctioned by New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA).
USA Observation: This meet is sanctioned by NM Swimming for observed swims for currently registered USA Swimming athletes. Each coach must submit a list of names and USA Swimming ID numbers in accordance with procedures established by NM Swimming.
Rules: NMAA and NFHS Swimming and Diving rules will govern this meet.
Schools: Alamogordo HS, Artesia HS, Carlsbad HS, Clovis HS, Hobbs HS, Las Cruces HS, and New Mexico Military Institute
Team Pictures: Team pictures must be submitted for the meet program by Thursday, January 26, 2017 to Debbie Dean. Please include names for all the athletes in each picture.

Meet Committee: A meet committee, composed of the meet director, meet referee, and coach and athlete representatives as appropriate, will have the authority to act in any situation not specifically covered by the rules of procedure. This committee shall have the discretionary power to set aside the application of a rule when there is apparent unfairness. Any dispute or protest to the Meet Committee must be written and submitted in a timely matter to the meet director.
Scoring: 8 place scoring: Individual 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
Relays 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2
Awards: Medals for 1st, 2nd, 3rd placing. Ribbons for 4th – 8th placing. Team trophies will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Boys and Girls team. Medals for the top three places will be awarded at the conclusion of each boy’s event. The head coach for the winning athlete will present the awards. All athletes should present themselves in appropriate team attire.

Meet: This meet will be run using “Fly Over Starts”.
Events: Diving- 5voluntary dives, 9.0 limit, 6 optional dives, no limit. Must follow NFHS 11 dive rules.
Swimming- Regular order of events, diving will precede all swimming events.
Entries: All entries are final. Only scratches are accepted after entries are received. Pursuant to Rule 3, Section 1, Article 1- Each team may enter no more than 4 swimmers in each event. Extra swimmers must be marked as exhibition. Only 1 relay from each team may be entered into each relay. Extra relays must be entered as exhibition. A swimmer may only swim in four events, no more than two of which may be individual events.Entries must be submitted electronically!
Coaches Meeting: A coaches meeting will be held at 10:40am.
Concessions: A concession stand will be available for swimmers and visitors. Hospitality will be available for timers, officials and coaches.
Team Seating: We have limited spectator areas. All teams should use the assigned space in the commons or gyms.
Volunteers: Each team will be required to provide two timers to help with the meet.
Ready Bench: A ready bench will be used to help keep the deck clear for the timers and officials.
Seniors: All District Seniors will be recognized after the 50 Free. Please have your seniors report behind the blocks wearing team attire. Senior names are due to Coach Dean when you send your entries in.
Disclaimer: The Hobbs Municipal School District, the City of Hobbs all meet sponsors and all meet officials shall be held free from any and all liabilities, or claims, for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduction of this meet.
Entry fee: $5.00 per participant due at or prior to the meet. Make checks payable to Hobbs Athletics.
Spectators: There will be a $5.00 admission charge for all spectators to attend the meet. Please make all families aware of this.
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by Sunday, January29, 2017. Dive sheets must be faxed to Coach Cynthia Calderon at 575-433-0140 by Monday, January30, 2017. Dive sheets MUST be completed in the Championship Format for an 11 dive meet. E-mail Hy-TEK entries to and e-mail or fax a hard copy of the Hy-TEK entries.
A psyche sheet will be emailed out onWednesday, February1, 2017.
