LMS FLAG FOOTBALL
& Cross Country
LMS Flag Football and Cross Country begins on Tuesday, September 8th. All interested students must fill out and return a LATER application form available at every practice, or from the PE teachers. Students must be eligible and in good standing in school. Failure to maintain the standards set up will result in being dropped from the team.
Teams will be based on the availability of the teams from the schools we play. Basically we will field 8 teams of 10 players as follows: 2 sixth, 2 seventh and 2 eighth grade boys teams. 1 eighth and 1 mixed grade girls teams. In Cross Country we will field 1 boys and 1 girls team in 6th, 7th, & 8th grade.
Practices will be held between 3:05pm and 4:05pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays when no game is scheduled. Cross Country meets are on Wednesday or Thursdays.
We will play by the rules agreed upon by the East County Coaches Committee. Rules will be gone over at practice.
In order to play in each game, students who attend practices prior to games will be given priority. For home games there will be a no cut policy, however there will be a set roster for first and second teams.
