Human Disease Project

All students will randomly be assigned a disease that affects a human body system. You will research the disease and present the information in a format of your choosing that HAS BEEN APPROVED by your teacher. The project will count as a MAJOR GRADE and will be due on ______. In addition to a major grade you will receive 2 daily grades, one for the required signatures and one for turning in the “check point” form. All work on this project will be completed outside of the classroom.

  • Movie (must provide a typed script)
  • Book (must be typed and bound in some way)
  • Interview (must provide a typed script)
  • Game (must provide all pieces and typed instructions)
  • Educational Manipulatives (must provide typed instructions and answer key)
  • Pre-Approved Product of your choice
  • Required Factual Information
  • Your name, class period, and teacher
  • Name of disease and at least 2 pictures/graphics
  • Symptoms of the disease
  • Treatments for the disease
  • Body system(s) disease affects and how it (they) are affected
  • History of the disease – who discovered or described, where and when and at least 5 additional facts not already required
  • CORRECT MLA documentation of all sources used
  • Neatness Counts
  • All information must be typed, CHECK SPELLING
  • Pictures/graphics must be colored
  • Information MUST be correct and logically organized

Some supplies are available from the teacher upon request. Computers will be made available before and after school also upon request.
