Linux Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client Installation and Use
Tested with default installations of the listed distributions below. Cisco officially supports RHEL 5 and 6 and Ubuntu 9.x and 10.x. Users can type uname -a at the command line if they are unsure which distribution they have installed.
Download:
Download anyconnect-linux.tar.gz (32-bit machines) or anyconnect-linux-64.tar.gz (64-bit machines) from the MyBama Tech Tab.
Installation:
Ubuntu 14.04, Debian 7.6.0
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Accept the terms of the license agreement.
Linux Mint 16
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Accept the terms of the license agreement.
CentOS 7
Enable EPEL Repository (at your own risk):
wget http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/beta/7/x86_64/epel-release-7-0.2.noarch.rpm
sudo rpm -ivh epel-release-7-0.2.noarch.rpm
Install libpangox with sudo yum install pangox-compat pangox-devel
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Accept the terms of the license agreement.
Fedora Core 20
Install libpangox with sudo yum install pangox-compat pangox-devel
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Accept the terms of the license agreement.

Install libpangox with sudo zypper install pangox-compat libpangox-1_0-0 pangox-devel
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh

Download anyconnect-linux.tar.gz or anyconnect-linux-64.tar.gz
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz

sudo ./vpn_install.sh

General Steps for other distributions (These distributions are not supported)
Ensure that libpangox is installed.
tar -xzf anyconnect-*.tar.gz
cd anyconnect*/vpn
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Accept the terms of the license agreement.
Running and Connecting:
The Cisco AnyConnect client tends to install itself in the “Internet” section of any distribution's application manager. Most modern distributions include a search function that will find it as well. You may also run it manually by running /opt/cisco/anyconnect/bin/vpnui
Type uavpn.ua.edu/campus in the “Connect to:” box and click Connect
You may be asked to accept a certificate, click Yes or Accept
Use your MyBama credentials to log in
