GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

CLEAN CAMPUS: Red flag!

DISNEYLAND: Attention seniors, the Disneyland packets are available in the student activities office. All paperwork and the $94 deposit are due to the activities office by Monday, November 14th by the end of lunch. Make sure you read the entire packet; checks or money orders need to be made out to USAST--Lincoln. Only 9 days left to turn them in!

WINTER FORMAL: Lincoln High School’s Junior class is proud to present “Nightmare Before the New Year” for your Winter Formal theme. Winter Formal will take place Saturday, December 10th from 8 pm to midnight at Saint Basil Greek Orthodox Christian Church. Pick up your eligibility forms at the Activities Office beginning on November 8th. Bids will be sold November 30 and December 1, 2 and 5 during lunch in the activities office. It will be $45 for a couple bid with ASB and $50 without ASB, $25 for a single bid with ASB and $30 without. CASH ONLY!!!! Guest forms and all eligibility forms are due by December 2nd in the Student Service Center by noon.

SENIOR ASSEMBLY: Attention Seniors, just a reminder of the senior assembly tomorrow morning at 9:15 in the practice gym. This assembly is not optional. Please report to the gym immediately following 2nd period. Cap and gown order packets will be handed out.

OPEN MIC NIGHT: Trojans, have a poem you want to read, a song you want to sing, or any other artistic talents you want to share? Come by at ASB room to pick up an application for Open Mic Night. Applications are currently available and are due back November 9th at lunch to the ASB room. Please join us on Wednesday, November 16th in the library at 5:30pm; admission is $5.

LHS LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE: A Call For Volunteers! Please consider volunteering for the Lincoln High School Library Advisory Committee. This committee will offer you a platform to voice your opinions and make suggestions about issues related to information literacy, library programming, collection development as well as collaborating with other LHS students. The application deadline is November 10th; so don’t delay.

SCIENCE BLAST COMMUNITY DAY: Attention Students! The Jose M. Hernandez Reaching for the Stars Foundation presents 2016 Science Blast Community Day. It's a free event on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016 at 10 am – 2 pm, UOP De Rosa University Center. If you're interested in becoming a scientist or an engineer, you should attend this event. FAFSA INFO: Attention Seniors! Have you submitted your financial aid forms as of October 1st? (FAFSA and/or CA Dream Act Application) If not, there will be a Free Cash For College Workshop at Lincoln on Tuesday, November 1st from 5 pm – 7 pm at the

Lincoln HS Media Center. This event will be hosted by Delta College. Spanish translation will be provided. Please sign up at the EPC, Room 1418 if you're planning to attend.

FREE SAT/ACT COMBO PRACTICE TEST: Attention Juniors, on November 12th and 13th there will be a Free SAT/ACT Combo Practice Test held by Kaplan Test Prep to help students decide between the SAT or ACT. Participants will receive their scores instantly. The practice test will be delivered through their Live Online platform. Sign up at www.kaptest.com/practicetestweekend

SHOW YOUR SPIRIT: FRIDAYS are designated Lincoln-wear days! Wear your class shirts, Lincoln shirts, or just red, gray, or black every Friday to show your spirit!!

FUNDRAISER: On Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 5:00 Rita's will set up shop outside the main gym before the Staff vs. Seniors Basketball game. This is a fundraiser for PTSA - please come and enjoy a treat!

SENIOR ADS: Attention Seniors, Senior Ad packets were distributed during your GOV/ECON classes. If you wantto purchase a senior ad in the yearbook, come to room 1112 during lunch on Wednesdays and see Mr. Muñoz. Bring your completed packet and payment to purchase. KCRA 3 CAN FOOD DRIVE—INTERACT CLUB: Nearly one in five children in America live in households that struggle to put food on the table, but you can make a difference. Interact Club is collecting food for the KCRA 3 Kids Can Food Drive. Boxes will be placed in your 2nd period classes and the drive runs through Thursday, November 10th. The Stockton Emergency Food Bank requests healthy, non-perishable food in non-glass containers, and serving sizes for families. The 2nd period class with the most canned goods will win a party! You have one more week to make an impact on a family in need! All canned goods go to families in the Stockton community!

BLOOD DRIVE—INTERACT CLUB: Did you know one in three people will need donated blood in their lifetime? The LHS fall blood drive will be held on Wednesday, Nov 1th. Sign-ups will be held at lunch in front of the school and the activities office. Sign ups begin today at lunch in front of the school. Sign up to save lives!

FILIPINO CLUB: Club shirt orders with $15 will be due on Tuesday at the next Filipino Club meeting. See one of the club officers for more info.

CLUB PRESIDENT’S MEETING: There is a mandatory Club President’s meeting on Wednesday, November 2 during lunch in room 1113. The meeting has been cancelled.

BSU CLUB: BSU will host Inspirational Speaker and Black Author, Arshay Cooper on Wednesday, Nov 2 in the Lecture Hall. There will be a meet and greet during lunch open to all students. Mr. Cooper will be speaking to BSU members during 5th period in the Lecture Hall, room 1113.

DRILL CLUB: Drill Club is dancing! If you need to sign up for remind messages, please come by 1511 at lunch for info. Practices are Mondays and Tuesdays after school.

SENIOR VS. STAFF BASKETBALL: The game is on Wednesday, November 2 in the new gym at 5:30pm and is FREE. Come and cheer on your favorite teachers and the Seniors!

ATHLETIC PACKETS: Any athlete that will be trying out for Winter sport’s teams beginning on Monday, November 7th, is required to have an Athletic Packet completed. Athletic Packets are available in the Athletic’s Office between 10-1 daily. After completing the packet, including a physical, you will be required to bring your RED CARD to your coach on November 7th. The RED CARD must have a “BLUE” clearance form attached to the RED card. You will receive the RED card and the BLUE form from the Athletic’s Office. If you have any questions, you can ask Lauren Garcia or Mr. Agnew in the Athletic’s Office.

GIRLS FRESHMEN BASKETBALL: On Thursday, November 3, there will be a meeting for girls' freshman basketball,3:15pm in the Huddle. Anyone who has a completed red card should bring it to the meeting. The meeting will last approximately 25 minutes.

BOYS BASKETBALL: All student athletes who are trying out for Boy’s Basketball; need to make sure they have an Athletic Packet filled out and their physical done before November 7th. This needs to be turned into Mr. Agnew in the Athletic Office. Any questions see Mr. Greeno in room 1506 or Coach Spradley.

SOCCER TRYOUTS: Boys Soccer tryouts will begin on Monday, November 7th at 4:00 pm. Monday will be tryouts for JV —Tuesday will be tryouts for Varsity—Wednesday, November 9th will rotate back to JV tryouts, and Thursday, November 10th will be the final varsity soccer tryout. Tryouts will begin at 4:00 pm and each tryout will last at least 2 hours. These tryouts will be held in the stadium or on the grass soccer field. Listen to the announcements for the location of boys and girls tryouts.
