Lighter Suite 6.2.3 Readme file

Welcome to Lighter Suite,the ultimate laser marking software suite that allows users to easily mark, etch, or engrave product identification information such as 2D matrix codes, linear barcodes, postal codes, stacked bar codes, text including any industry standard font formats, alpha-numeric serial numbers, date codes, part numbers, graphics and logos in any production environment.

Lighter Suite is a complete laser marking system that can be used for:

graphiclayouts editing
laser devices fine-tuning and control, including an integrated I/O module for axis management that allows integration into a production line or other marking equipment
fully customization by creating automated procedures
easy integration into assembly lines with or without PC
full control both in local and remote mode

This Readme file describes the software, firmware, and documentation installed by Lighter*.exe.

Shortcuts to the software and documentation listed below are located in your computer’s Start folder. Select Start, All Programs, Lighter.

This application can be used for:

• Laser device fine-tuning.

• Controls the marking process.

• Integration into assembly lines with or without PC.

This manual documents how to to create graphics layouts for laser engraving.

Programmer Guide

This manual is designed for developers who will be using Project Editor to write and manage programs so as to customize and automate laser engraving operations.

Bugs fixed in Lighter Suite 6.2.3.14910(February 19,2016)

Here is a list of bugs fixed in this release:

1. DOT DELAY does't work using ULYXE USB. (Ticket #1755)

2. Laser Editor in crash enabling Node Editor. (Ticket #1782)

3. Clones preview with repetitions cause Lighter Editor to crash.(Ticket #1779)

4. ActiveX - Tilable property missed. (Ticket #1753)

5. Content of the cell marked in wrong order. (Ticket #1768)

6. OVERRUN ERROR under particular conditions.Stopping and marking certain layouts, the devide stops the process and emit the ‘OVERRUN Error’.(Ticket #1774)

7. DOT DELAY does't work using ULYXE USB. (Ticket #1775)

8. CODE - wrong position after code err.After an code error the CODE position is moved to the center of the marking field(Ticket #1756)

9.Clones preview with repetitions cause Lighter Editor to crash.(Ticket #1779)

10. Script method Dir::entryList uses enums not declared.(Ticket #1777)

11. Once datamatrix error, position changed.(Ticket #1780)

12. Remote access to "formattedText" returns empty string or causes error.Accessing at ‘formattedText’ property using remote ActiveX ‘access violation’ is generated. (Ticket #1772)

13. Frequent connections to Socket server cause memory rapidly growing. With frequent connections there is a rapid increase in the use of memory. (Ticket #1791)

14. Remote ActiveX hangs on 0% and need application kill on both sides.Using remote ActiveX interface, the upload of layouts opens a Progress Dialog fixed to "0%".(Ticket #1789)

15. Laser Configuration - Aiming beam - Scale X,Y too low.The scale 95%to 105% is too low. Now is 90%-110%. (Ticket #1762)

16. Laser Configuration - Aiming beam - Offset X,Y limit too low.The aiming beam offset X/Y1% of marking field is too low. Now is 5%.(Ticket #1761)

17. System.getDiodeTime() get wrong diode time. (Ticket #1794)

18. Script/ActiveX : locked property not available.(Ticket #1795)

19. Laser Editor: Laser Parameters wobble disappear. (Ticket #1796)

20. Laser Test: unit of measure are not present. Size doesn't change between mm to inch.(Ticket #1808)

21. Scritps/ActiviX : missing Marking on Fly status (enable/disable). (Ticket #1752)

22. ActiveX : in remote connection System.updateDocumentsList() not work. (Ticket #1751)

23. Frequent connections to Socket server cause memory rapidly growing. (Ticket #1791)

24. Low memory if a script is executing and Project Editor is open. Executing a script from Project Editor, the operating system runs out of memory after several hours (Ticket #1765)

Here is a list of bugs fixed in this release:

1. Layout not updated providing digital START. (Ticket #1790)

2. UNIQ: using parameter RING OFFSET ring engraving doesn't work. (Ticket #1800)

3. Limits on selection not work.In Laser Editor, with active limits, selecting another object the limits are interrupted(Ticket #1819)

4.Is not possible selecting more than one objects in the 'Object marking order' windows of Laser Editor.(Ticket #1822)

5. CLONES: no evidence of cloned object out of marking area.(Ticket #1821)

6. Old versions of laser.inz not work.(Ticket #1842)

7. Send marking on selection: object content not updated.Marking from Laser Editor an object with a reference to another object, the result is not consistent with the object content (Ticket #1829)

8. The property ‘Contour’ doesn't work anymore.(Ticket #1835)
