Formative/ Summative / Responses to warm up will be evaluated to drive instruction / Students will turn in charts / KWL: pre-activity assessment / Completion of egg babies: students turn in signed contracts / Baby room flip books
Warm Up: / Have students write response to EQ / Show “From an Orange to a Watermelon” video clip / Watch egg baby clip / Make an oath to properly care for egg babies / Show incredible rooms from Houzz.com
Work Session: / Students will view “The Miracle of Life” video clip.
Students will answer comprehension questions and write a response to the clip / Have students use texts and work with partners to draw and label the stages of fetal development / Students will find out the sex of their babies. They will make a plan for their babies’ arrival. We will discuss the egg baby project. / Create egg babies
and their carriers / Students will create babies rooms for their egg babies.
